Project: Social Housing | New Build | Brownfield  

Client: Tower Hamlets Community Housing | Durkan

Forming part of larger multi site redevelopment project including disused garage courts, brownfield sites and undeveloped urban land the scheme at Bancroft Road sits next to a Grade II Listed pub and just outside the Carlton Square Conservation Area in east London. â€‹

These constraints informed the design and planning strategy

 

Amenity space is a premium in London, each of the dwelling has a private garden but is constrained, in order to improve the the outdoor space each house benefits from a roof terrace and/or balcony spaces.

Constructed with an offsite MMC type timber frame the homes benefit from an improved building fabric, high efficiency boilers and MVHR.
