Kitchen Extension & House Refurbishment in Ashton Gate
Located in the popular Ashton Gate area of Bristol, Duckmoor Road involved a new single-storey lean-to kitchen extension alongside a comprehensive refurbishment of the existing house.
The project was designed to improve the way the home works for family life, creating a more connected kitchen and living environment while introducing a new snug/playroom, family bathroom and ensuite bedrooms.

A Simple Contemporary Addition
The extension uses a deliberately simple palette of rendered walls and grey-framed windows, creating a clean contemporary addition that complements the existing house.
Internally, the refurbishment improves the layout and provides a series of flexible spaces for family living, including the new snug/playroom and upgraded bedrooms and bathrooms.
The result is a practical and contemporary kitchen extension and whole-house refurbishment in Ashton Gate, providing improved family spaces while making better use of the relationship between the house and garden.

Extending the Kitchen & Creating a Covered Outdoor Space
A key feature of the design was extending the new lean-to roof across the full width of the rear of the property. This creates a generous covered outdoor space directly alongside the kitchen, providing a sheltered transition between the house and garden.
The covered terrace allows the garden to be enjoyed throughout the year, whatever the weather, while the large openings to the extension create a strong visual and physical connection between the kitchen, covered terrace and garden.
